Looked After Children

Tendring has one of the highest proportions of Looked After Children in Essex and the outcomes for Looked After Children are extremely poor (30% of Looked After Children have a statement of special educational needs, only 2.5% progress into higher education, 75% have no formal qualifications, 27% have/are misusing drugs and/or alcohol and 67% have an identifiable mental health problem).
